No trip to Nashville is complete without a group tour of Belle Meade Plantation! Our group tour experience is like none other found in the city! When you come to our site, we want you to come away with at least three things.
First, we want you to have a great tour. When you tour the Mansion today, you walk right into the rooms as if you were a guest in the 1800’s. There are no velvet ropes, no glass walls to separate you and our collection. The fully furnished Mansion is stocked with original pieces from the 1800’s. Fortunately, we have an abundance of family letters from which to pull a wealth of information. Our costumed guides willingly share the stories surrounding the rise and fall of the Harding and Jackson Family.
Second, brunch, lunch, and dinner at Belle Meade Plantation is unparalleled. From our own Country Ham to a Southern BBQ Buffet, Fried Chicken, Chicken Salad, or Pork Loin, your groups will thoroughly enjoy the fine Southern cuisine we have selected for you. And we can customize a menu for groups of 50 or more.
Third, can someone say SHOPPING?! Our Gift Shop is so much more than a tourist gift shop…it is a retail destination! Our buyers tirelessly search for distinctive items sure to please the shoppers in your groups. We also stock many Made-In-Tennessee items. And as if that weren’t enough, we have branded a large line of Belle Meade Plantation food products! Country ham, biscuit mix, honey jelly, shortbread cookies, cheese…Mercy! I’m hungry just writing about it!

Regular Group Tour
Our Regular Group Tour is an incredible experience! Throughout the 45 minute guided tour of the 1853 Greek Revival Mansion, a century of Belle Meade Plantation’s history is told through the eyes of the Harding and Jackson Family and the skilled laborers who collectively worked to make the Plantation America’s premier Thoroughbred Horse Farm. After the guided tour of the Mansion, guests are encouraged to enjoy the self-guided portion of the tour. We have eight historic buildings on site including a massive 1800’s Carriage House and Stable. It is breath-taking! You can almost hear the horses clopping on the brick floor of the stable house! Please allow 1 and ˝ hours minimum.

Victorian Tea and Tour
The Victorians loved their tea and we do too! After your guided tour of the Mansion, your group will enjoy Freshly Baked Scones that will melt in your mouth, Chicken Salad Finger Sandwiches, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches, a scrumptious array of Mini Desserts, Seasonal Fruit, and of course, Tea! Please allow 2 hour minimum.

Holiday Wassail Tour
Wassail is a drink that dates back many centuries. It was often associated with a blessing of the harvest. After your guided tour of the Mansion, the warm spiced fragrance of our Homemade Wassail will fill the air. Pineapple, orange, clove, and cinnamon are all a part of our very own mouth-watering Christmas recipe. To compliment your Wassail, your group will also enjoy a variety of Homemade Mini Desserts. Where else can you experience the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas at a beautiful historic setting? Please allow 2 hour minimum.

Lemonade and Lace Tour
Nothing is as Southern as Homemade Lemonade on a warm summer day! After your guided tour of the Mansion, you can grab a seat out back, surrounded by gorgeous Magnolia Trees, and enjoy this traditional Southern drink with a variety of Homemade Mini Desserts. Please allow 2 hour minimum.

Country Ham Brunch and Tour (Served for brunch or lunch)
Here in the South, we consider cooking an art form…and we consider breakfast our favorite subject! We start with our very own Country Ham and Biscuits served with Red Eye Gravy and a variety of Jams. Then we add Baked Cheese Grits, Cinnamon Apples, Orange Juice and Coffee. Mercy! It would make the General proud! Please allow 2 ˝ hours minimum.

Chicken Salad Sampler Plate (Served for lunch)
This lunch has been a favorite for years! Our very own resident chef, Martha Stamps, has perfected this Southern delicacy. It is perfect for ladies groups or groups preferring a lite lunch. Homemade Chicken Salad, Greek Pasta Salad, Herbed Biscuits, Fresh Fruit, Lemon Squares and Brownies, and Iced Tea.

Pickin’ Chicken Plate (Served for lunch or dinner)
Members of your group may have their choice of one or both of the following: Boneless Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy or Grilled Chicken with Seasonal Chutney Sauce. Both will come with Smashed Potatoes, Southern-Style Green beans, Herbed Biscuits, Homemade Dessert, and Iced Tea.

Calling all BBQ lovers! Our BBQ Buffet will fill you up like Thanksgiving at Grandma’s! Chopped Pork, Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Buns, Better-Than-Grandma’s Pecan Pie, and Iced Tea.

Do you want to tour several plantation homes while you are in Nashville? If so, we want to make it easy for you! This package is one-stop-shopping for you. In addition to Belle Meade Plantation, you may also tour Belmont Mansion and Travelers Rest Plantation. See the links below for more information about these sites!
Flexibility is the word to describe this package. You can tour two or three sites. You can have food at one, two or three sites. It is strictly up to you, your budget, and the amount of time you have. The complete progressive program has you beginning your tour at Travelers Rest Plantation with appetizers, then coming to Belle Meade Plantation for your main meal, and finally ending your tour at Belmont Mansion with dessert. But we will customize this package to fit your needs, your budget, and your time.
