This Greek revival house was home to five generations of the Harding-Jackson family, original owners of the Belle Meade Farm. In the late 19th century, the farm encompassed 5,400 acres and was one of the largest private estates in Nashville. The farm was a thoroughbred nursery famous for breeding and training championship race horses. Recent Kentucky derby winners like Funny Cide and Barbarro, even racing legends like Secretariat can trace their bloodlines back to the breeding stock at Belle Meade.Read the Full History of Belle Meade HereNew Time: Thursdays 1:00-4:30PM Look for James Gardner of Gardner Grove on-site with free-range eggs, delicious honey, and a variety of other locally grown organic produce!*May be subject to cancellation due to weather2008 Jazz & Blues on the Lawn ScheduleClick Here to Check Out Our 2008 Event CalendarIt's going to be an exciting year at Belle Meade Plantation! What's New at Martha's?
