Everyday Life on the Plantation

Tour the 1853 mansion and learn about the Harding-Jackson family, the enslaved people who worked on the farm, and daily life with 19th century technology. Create a tin-punched candle holder and explore the science of reflecting light as well as early lighting sources. Demonstrate logic, map reading skills, and teamwork while exploring the grounds and outbuildings during the
scavenger hunt.
