  • Enquiring About Enquirer:
  • →Named for the Cincinnati Enquirer Newspaper
→At the Tennessee Centennial Exposition a marble monument was raised on Enquirer’s paddock in his memory. The monument was given by the publisher of the Cincinnati Enquirer, John McLean.  There was then a fireworks show in his honor.  It was the first time they outlined a horse in the sky in fireworks
→The monument, or tombstone, was moved to Belle Meade Plantation.  The remains of Enquirer are presumably still burried in his paddock, which is located on Enquirer Lane in the city of Belle Meade today.
