Friday and Sunday Weddings – Which are the Best Wedding Days?

For many years brides have thought that Saturdays are traditionally the best days for weddings because their guests will be travelling from out of city or state; however, what many Nashville brides are learning is that their guests will be coming into town for more than their wedding.  Their guests will also want to come to Nashville, Tennessee for the same reasons the bride loves it. Guests will want to see all of the culture that makes Nashville what’s called “Music City U.S.A”.  So whether you choose a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, your guests will most likely be in town the entire weekend soaking up the city.  The other bonus of choosing a Friday or Sunday for your Big Day, your guests will not have to fight the downtown and city traffic of other Saturday evening events.

Do you offer weddings on Friday nights weekdays, or days other than Saturdays? Do Weekday weddings offer more affordable venue rates? Is it less expensive?

Yes we do, and yes it is less expensive. If you would like to review these discounted rates for off-peak weddings (Friday Night, Sunday or other), visit our wedding pricing page (link to page).  Our pricing page will show you our discounted rates for weekday and weekend weddings.

Is it weird to have a wedding on a Friday or Sunday or any other day other than a Saturday? What are the Pros and Cons?

No.  In fact it is becoming more of the norm these days because brides realize that sometimes in order to get the site that they want during the time of year that they want they are willing to think outside the box a bit.  Keep in mind that if a venue is open for a Friday wedding, most likely the photographer, planner, florist, band, etc. will also be available to help you on your most important day.  With such an open mind, a bride will be sure to get what she truly wants.

Question from bride-to-be: Since many of my guests will be coming from out of town, I feel as if I need to book a Saturday wedding. If you are booked, what are my options?

Congratulations!  You are such a caring bride that has great concern for her guests and you will provide a wonderful celebration with them in mind every step of the way.  More wonderful news is that you are the catalyst to get out of town guests to Nashville for their mini vacation.  Meaning they are coming first and foremost to celebrate your new marriage, but they will enjoy more of the city and will most likely stay for several days.  If you are concerned about being a 21st Century non-traditional bride, send out “Save the Date” announcements to let the guests know about your plans in advance.  They will be there no matter what day you decide to get married!
